How to play:

In village, you can visit:

  • shop - to buy some equipment;
  • tavern - to get new dice after each return from dungeon;
  • dungeon - the dangerous place, full of monsters.

In dungeon you can encounter two types of rooms:

  • battle;
  • non-battle.

In battle, you can choose 1 out of 3 possible options:

  • attack
  • defence
  • attempt to escape

Then, you need put 0-2 dice from your stash at the bottom of screen into slots for your action. You sometimes also need put extra dice in slots for enemies' actions.

You have a limited amount of dice. You can hold up to 3 dice in hand at a time. When you run out of dice, extra dice added from the deck (amount of dice in deck is displayed on your right).

To move a die, you need to click on it and then click on an empty slot. Be careful, you can't take it back!  After you use up a die, it goes to a discard pile (amount is shown on your right).

The same idea of movement is applicable to equipment and equipment slots.

In dungeons, press "Continue" button to proceed. Do it until the end of the dungeon.

In non-battle rooms, you need (sometimes it is optional) to put a die to check success of some action and then go further.

When dungeon ends, you can visit shop and tavern to upgrade your dice and equipment. Notice that you can only equip your items in the village.

Then you can go to the dungeon again.

  • Tooltips

Hover cursor over a die or an item to see info about it.

  • Death & Goal

After death, you will lose your equipment, but save half of your money and all your dice. Improve your set of dice to finish all 6 floors.

It doesn’t seem like it’s possible to escape given initial equipment. Escaping initially requires “12 or more”, but offers 2 + 0.75*die, and that can’t possibly make 12. And failing to escape makes it harder (rather than incrementally managing to escape over multiple rounds).

Pretty neat game! I enjoyed playing it and going through the dungeon. I love the idea of being able to choose the die you give your enemy, and of course enjoyed seeing the variety of dice as well.

For me, it fell short in the UI portion when I accidentally bought something I didn't want to buy at the shop. I would recommend an explicit purchase, an undo option of some sort, or just making it more clear on how to purchase the different items.

Great effort, and excited to see how this game develops!
